Varian Technology
Varian technology is the proud invention of Sayshun. Traditionally skateboards are bent into two dimensions. A skateboard deck is given a concave, which allows for greater performance, but the concave stops where the nose and the tail start. Varian technology bends the deck of the longboard into a three dimensional shape. We have applied Varian technology to the concave, drop, and wedge and have seen success in each case. What the Varian basically allows for is multiple shapes to be in the same place on the board. Bending wood into three dimensions isn’t easy but we do it because this allows for a longboard to be build for riders and not restricted to how wood can and cannot bend.
Traditionally the concave runs through the whole board and is the same for the front and back foot. The Varian concave offers a front foot concave and back foot concave each designed for optimal performance.
Traditionally the concave stops where the drop starts. This can create an uncomfortable notch for the foot. The Varian drop allows for the concave to happen in the same place as the drop, offering comfort and optimal performance.
The Varian wedge works similar to the Varian drop in that it offers concave in the same place as the wedge. This offeres a sweet pocket that was not possible before Varian technology.
